Caspio's Photography in CLAW Kinky Art Show 2023, juried by Tom of Finland Foundation

I’m proud to have my Contained Release photographic series in 2023’s CLAW Kinky Art Show at the Los Angeles Leather Getaway, happening this weekend. Juried by The Tom of Finland Foundation, the Kinky Art Show is a curation of work from more than 32 artists celebrating leather, fetish, and BDSM eroticism. Contained Release I-V explores the empowerment, liberation, and pleasure that a secret identity, through donning a second skin over one’s body, can bring.

Another photograph from my self portrait series (available in my Store) was donated to CLAW’s silent fundraising auction.

CLAW is a not-for-profit corporation. According to CLAW’s website, The Leather Getaway serves as a fundraiser with proceeds from the event going to local and national LGTBQ+ charities. To date, the CLAW Corporation has disbursed nearly one million dollars to more than fifty beneficiaries. The Leather Getaway has become one of the largest gatherings of tribes in the LGBTQ+ fetish community. 

”In 1984, the nonprofit Tom of Finland Foundation (ToFF) was established by Durk Dehner and his friend Tom. As Tom had established worldwide recognition as the master of homoerotic art, the Foundation’s original purpose was to preserve his vast catalog of work. Several years later the scope was widened to offer a safe haven for all erotic art in response to rampant discrimination against art that portrayed sexual behavior or generated a sexual response. Today ToFF continues in its efforts of educating the public as to the cultural merits of erotic art and in promoting healthier, more tolerant attitudes about sexuality.”
